Map of A1(M) Junction 45 Walk

Look for the public footpath post to the right of the pub, looking from the front.

Follow the footpath to the right of a fence, and don't be put off by the undergrowth at the start as it quickly dies away.

The path bends half-left, so aim for the yellow topped post that is clearly visible. In fact, all the footpath signs on this route are exceptionally clear and easy to follow.

Climb over the stile and head towards the first of two chunky yellow poles, across the field.

After the second pole, go through the gate at the end of the field and cross the lane (now part of the national cycle route system) to follow the next waymarker, to your right, pointing you to the left into the next field.

Follow the path through the field and soon you'll be walking with the woodland surrounding Potterton Hall on your right. The area is rich in rabbits.

At the yellow topped pole at the end of this field, climb the stile and enter the next field, with Becca Home Farm ahead.

The path continues towards the farm but we turned around here, at the 20 minute walk point.

Reverse your route to return to the Fox and Grapes.
