Coneythorpe - Tiger Inn

From the car park of the Tiger Inn turn right to walk up a gravel path to the right of the village green, marked with a footpath sign. Look for an easy-to-miss direction arrow on the gatepost of a house, and turn right into a narrow ginnel.
Walk alongside a private garden, with a post confirming you are walking on the route of the Knaresborough Round, a 20 mile circular path.
Cross one stile and a footbridge and walk past one more waymarker, taking the direction to the right.
In the field, walk with the hedgerow to your right and through a mini-copse at the end and a Knaresborough Round sign which leads you across a footbridge to enter another grassy field where you walk straight on.
From this point on, the way is clearly signed giving walkers the choice of where to turn around to return to the Tiger Inn.
When testing this walk we didn't realise that the Knaresborough Round actually encircles Knaresborough – at a distance of over 20 miles – so don't try to complete a circular route here!
