Bricket Wood Common

Length of walk: 20 minutes or longer
This area is an unspoilt byway that remains rooted in the life of a century ago.
Public Footpaths are well signed here, and to start the walk cross the road from the Old Fox and enter the wood at Public Footpath sign.
The wood is popular with local dog walkers, and the paths are well trodden and easy to follow.
It's such a pleasant spot that the temptation to meander through this ancient woodland, choosing paths at whim is irresistible. And so that's what we did, enjoying the birdsong and sense of seclusion as we went. The Common is large and offers the space to ramble for many hours.
Facilities

At Old Fox PH. Bar snacks/food available. Well-behaved dogs permitted in bar areas on leads, and in garden area. Dog water bowls provided.
