Map of M1 Junction 8 Walk

Walk length: just over a mile

Leave the car park and turn left onto the road, and after a few metres turn right up some steps at the Public Footpath sign.

After a 10 minute walk on a broad path between fenced land, you emerge into a large field. Continue with the hedgerow to your left. You will see a wireless station beyond the hedge to the left and just after this is a waymarker. Continue straight on, and admire the spectacular views from here. This path leads you to Hyde Farm, which is a good place to turn around and retrace your steps to The Swan.
