Red Lion, Crick

Length of walk 1.8 miles / approx 40 minutes
With your back to the Red Lion, turn left to walk down the street. Walk over the High Street turning, passing the Coop Late Shop on your left. Walk down the hill. Where the road bends to the right, turn left down The Derry. When you reach the footpath arrows, follow the arrow pointing you to the right. Walk past house No.2 on your left. You quickly come to a stile and follow the arrow pointing up the hill to a post with more arrows on it
At the post, follow the arrow pointing half left to continue walking uphill. When you walk over the brow of the hill, you will see the next black arrow to the right of a tree. Walk down to it, and cross the small wooden footbridge and stile to enter the next field.
The arrow now points you slightly to the left to walk up the next hill. As you walk up the hill you will see a tree emerging over the top of the hill. Climb over the fence to the left of this tree. The arrow points you half left, still slightly uphill.
As you walk over the brow of the hill you will see a gap in the far left corner of the field (the corner should be directly ahead of you as you walk). Head for the gap and walk through to the next field. Here there are no further arrows, so this is where I chose to turn back.
Retrace your steps, but if you are in any doubt use the church as a beacon to help you back.
