Leave the M2 at Junction 4 signed Gillingham A278, Eastbound 1st exit, Westbound 2nd exit.
At the next roundabout take the 2nd exit signed Gillingham town centre, Rainham A278.
At the next roundabout take the 2nd exit signed Gillingham , Medway Tunnel A2.
At the next roundabout take the 1st exit signed A2 Gillingham, Chatham.
At the next roundabout take the 2nd exit, signed A2 Gillingham, Chatham.
Pass a fire station on the LHS and take the next left turn at the Old Ash Tree PH, signed Luton Waterside/Capstone Country Park.
Proceed down the hill and take the first exit at the mini-roundabout. At the second roundabout take the 2nd exit, signed Capstone Farm Country Park.
The car park is on the right.
Return to M2 Junction 4
Turn left out of the car park and take the first turn left (Almond Grove).
Turn left again (Chapel Lane ) and then right (Hempstead Valley Drive ).
At the roundabout, take the 1st exit (Sharsted Way ).
At the next roundabout take the 3rd exit onto the A278, signed London, Dover M2.
Rejoin the M2 at the next roundabout.
Capstone Farm Country Park
Length of walk – 35 minutes +
There are several paths and trails in the 280 acres of this popular and well organised park. Details are available from the visitor centre.
The most dog friendly is reached from behind the car park, avoiding the children's play areas. This is the ‘main' footpath, and to join it look for the track which runs parallel to the larger section of the car park. As the path goes slightly uphill ignore the turning to the left and go straight on towards Millennium Wood.
There is plenty of open space, and a good opportunity for doggie frizbees and chuckers.
Very short walk 10 - 15 minutes
Pass the playground and café to walk around the lake. Head into the small wood, Tanglewood, where there is one very short circular path through it. The advantage of this mini-wood is that it is well sheltered from the sun, and you can grab a cold drink on the way there.

Parking – free, car park closed at dusk.
Café, WC, visitor centre with details of walks in the park (1000-1630), play area, pet centre. Dog poo bins in park.
