Getting There

Leave the M3 at Junction 4 and take the A331 signed Guildford, Farnborough, northbound, 2nd exit and 1st exit at the next roundabout, southbound 2nd exit.
Get into the right hand lane and drive along the A331 for over a mile until branching to the left, signed Mytchett. The Basingstoke Canal Centre is well signed from here.
At the roundabout take the 1st exit onto Coleford Bridge Road, signed Mytchett. Stay on this road and go straight over the mini-roundabout with the B3411.
Drive over the railway and turn left into the Basingstoke Canal Centre.
Return to M3 Junction 4
Turn right out of the Basingstoke Canal Centre car park and drive straight over the mini-roundabout to return down Coleford Bridge Road.
Turn left at the mini-roundabout, signed Farnborough Park, and drive over the A331.
At the next roundabout, take the 2nd exit and merge with the A331 signed M3, Reading, Camberley. Continue along the A331 until you reach the M3 at Junction 4.
Basingstoke Canal
Walk 1 – Towpath walk
If it's flat walking you're after, then a towpath walk is ideal. Cross the bridge to the less crowded path, and turn left or right as the fancy takes you.
A railway line runs near the path, but this is securely fenced off.
Walk 2 – Woodland walk
Start in the caravan and camping park (dogs on leads here) and walk through the caravan sites on the gravel path towards the clearly visible woodland with the fence on your right.
There is a gate leading into the woods, and once through this then dogs can run free.
Facilities
Free parking 0930 to 2200. Café, WC, children's play area, picnic area, gift shop, visitor centre, canoe and pedalo hire.
Additional parking spaces are available in the caravan and camping car park.
