Wellington Park

This is very different from our usual walks, and nearly didn't make it onto the website at all.
To start with the not so good, Wellington Park is much more child than dog oriented and there's a hefty entrance fee of £6.00 for adults, and £5.00 for children just to get in there.
That said, there may be times when families with dogs need to entertain the whole family, or any number of reasons why this could work.
On the plus side, the organisation is superb, plenty going on for everyone once you're in, and dogs are not excluded from any activities. There are a number of well laid out trails inside the park, colour coded and easy to follow.
Being practical, there is a third way. Entry to the café, WCs and car park is free. The wood that lies between the entrance gate to the main car park is ideal dog walking territory, and this can be accessed from the car park on the right just after turning into the park approach road. There's plenty of space here for a decent walk.
Facilities

At the main entrance: Free car park, WC, visitor centre, café, dog water, poo bags and bins provided.
