Map of M5 Junction 12 Walk

Length of walk: 35-45 minutes.
Wellies/boots essential in wet weather

Leave the Beacon Inn and walk to the railway crossing point. Cross quickly when the light is green, walk down the short path and turn left at the lane.

Opposite the house on the left, turn right through a metal gate. Follow the waymarker arrow to walk through the field.

At the 2nd field, turn to the right, following the arrow. This path is less clear than the obvious path going straight on, so don't be fooled.

Pass over a small footbridge and nettley stile at the end of field 2 to enter field 3. Continue with the hedge on the right.

Enter field 4 and carry on with the hedge still on the right.

In the corner of field 4 cross the wooden footbridge and follow the yellow arrow to walk straight ahead and cross the field.

As you pass by a small copse of trees, notice the church ahead. Cross a stile and aim towards the church.

Bear right near the churchyard wall to walk with the wall on the left.

Follow the faint path to move away from the church, passing a fenced copse to the right and four large oak trees to the left.

Pass through a gap between fields to follow the yellow arrow straight through the next field to exit at the metal gate.

Turn right onto the lane, and turn left a couple of minutes after the concrete post with a white waymarker arrow pointing left. This path brings you back to the railway line. Cross with care to return to the car park.

At the Beacon Inn. Good home made food and snacks available in this welcoming and friendly pub. Dog water bowls provided at the outdoor seating area. Very dog friendly owner regrets that dogs can no longer allowed in the bar after a recent incident, but there is plenty of space outdoors.

Limited off road parking also available opposite the pub.
