Tatton Park

Map of M6 Junction 19 Walk

Tatton Park is an immense area of parkland with a cornucopia of scents for dogs to enjoy from both the farm and the freely roaming deer and livestock. So although there is plenty of space for all to enjoy, this is a better walk with an extendable lead to make sure that dogs and deer don't clash.

Local dog walkers seem to prefer the Old Hall car park, away from the main visitor focus points. This car park also makes a walk possible for wheelchair users as we were told it is possible to treat the seldom used tarmac lane from the car park to the Old Hall as a path, which appears to be a highly workable approach.

As the land here is lusciously green grass, there is no trail to follow – just enjoy the splendour of the park and some aimless wandering.

At The Stables café, dogs are welcome at the outside tables and large water bowls are provided.
