Getting There
Leave the M20 at Junction 1 (signed Dartford Crossing, London A2).
At the roundabout take the 1st exit, A20, signed West Kingsdown.
At the next roundabout take the 2nd exit, A20.
At the next roundabout take the A225 exit, signed Dartford.
Drive beneath the motorway and after a bend take the next left turn – Calfstock Lane. This is a single track road with passing places.
Drive to the end of the lane, where the nature reserve car park is on the left.
Return to M20 Junction 1
Leave the car park, and turn right to return along Calfstock Lane.
Turn right, drive under the motorway, and rejoin the A225.
At the roundabout take the 3rd exit A20, signed Swanley.
At the next roundabout take the 2nd exit, A20.
At the next roundabout, rejoin the M20 – Southbound is the 5th exit, signed Maidstone, Channel Tunnel
Farningham Woods Nature Reserve
This is a quiet and atmospheric woodland walk in a nature reserve that is a haven of meditative calm.
An easy to follow 1.6 mile circular walk is marked, and the paths are clear and well maintained.
The woodland is frequented by a few local dog walkers, but as soon as you are within the wood there are virtually no signs of human existence. Lovely!
Facilities
Free car park. There is a Public WC in Farningham village nearby.
