
Getting There

Sat Nav: TN25 4AR
Leave the motorway at Junction 9 and follow the A251 signed Faversham, eastbound 3rd exit, westbound 1st exit.
Keep straight on at the next four roundabouts, following the signs to the A251, and at the traffic lights turn left on the A251 signed Faversham.
Stay on this road for another 3.5 miles until you take a sharp right to drive to the King's Wood Car Park
Return to M20 Junction 9
Return to the A251 and take a sharp left to drive towards Ashford.
After 3.5 miles, turn right at the traffic lights following the sign for M20, Ashford.
Take the 2nd exit at the next three roundabouts, and the 3rd exit at the following roundabout. This brings you back to the M20.
King's Wood - TN25 4AR

Choice of routes, 1-5 miles.
Footpaths are clearly marked throughout the 1,500 acres of the wood. We chose the 3 mile ‘Beech Walk', there are shorter and longer routes.
Take the path to the left of the picnic area to follow the meandering paths through the ancient forest, and enjoy the leafy views across the valleys.
As the name suggests, this was once a royal hunting forest and there are still herds of deer in this large forest.
You are more likely to see sculptures than deer here, as this is the main site of the Stour Valley Arts Project. There are a variety of sculptures by different artists, and an avenue of yew trees has been planted to align with sunset on the summer solstice.
