Beacon Wood Country Park, Southfleet Road, Bean

This is a fascinating park, so close to the road network and yet utterly remote in atmosphere. There is over 88 acres of space, created over the site of former clay pits.
The information board gives details of the trails in the park, including an easy access route. On the day we were only able to find the yellow colour coded posts though. But no complaints – it's a charming walk. Depending on the season, you may catch a glimpse of the thriving wildlife scene here.
Facilities

Car parking – Mon-Sat 50p, Sundays and Bank Holidays £1.00, Pay&Display.
Picnic areas. Info board. Dog poo bins throughout park.
