Getting There
Sat Nav: KT20 7ES
Leave the M25 at Junction 8 and take the 4th exit Westbound or 1st exit Eastbound, signed London, Sutton A217.
Continue on the A217 straight over the roundabout and then take the 1st left into Stubbs Lane , signed Mogador. At the crossroads, continue straight following the sign to Mogador and Banstead Heath. Turn to the right when only authorised traffic may proceed straight on, and The Sportsman will be on your right.
Parking is permitted in this very dog friendly inn, and walkers are requested to use the rear car park.
Return to M25 Junction 8
Reverse your route to the A 217. You have to turn left here, and proceed to the first roundabout, approx 0.5 miles to make a U turn and return to the motorway junction from the A217
The Sportsman Inn, Banstead Heath
Leaving the car park, Banstead Heath is to your right.
There are waymarked paths here, and the area is very popular with riders and walkers alike.
Banstead Heath is part of the extensive Banstead Downs, and forms part of the green ‘lung' around London . There is a mixture of open heath and woodland, and generally flat walking. There is so much space that the Heath is a delight to ramble around, and no directions are necessary.

The pub food attracts diners from a wide area, and has an outstanding reputation for excellent food. This is, fairly, reflected in the price. Snacks are also available. Telephone 01737 246655 for meal reservations.
Several petrol stations on both sides of the A217 on the return route.
