Earlswood Lakes – Windmill Pool

Leave the car park and turn left, to follow the road around the side of the pub – Valley Road.
This walk takes you around the perimeter of the ‘Windmill Pool' and is flat, easy walking. In wet weather, the path can get muddy and wellies are a good idea.
If your dog needs more of a challenge, the following is an optional start to the walk.
Look for a footpath starting next to a lamppost (before the road divides into two) and follow this path into the woods. This is an ideal spot for dogs to stretch their legs under the canopy of the large trees here. To join the path ‘proper' around the reservoir, cross the stream boy scout style with the dubious looking rope swing or simply splash across and scrabble up the bank on the other side.
The completely flat route starts a few paces further along at a wooden kissing gate on the left. Go through the gate to join the path and this will take you around the lake. To avoid returning the boat house and walking back on the road, turn round after 15-20 minutes and retrace your route.
Facilities

At The Reservoir – free parking, food available, children's play area. Dogs are not particularly welcomed, according to company policy, but the very helpful staff here pointed out a small outdoor seating area where dogs are permitted.
