Getting There
Southbound - Leave the M50 at Junction 1 and take the first left turn before the roundabout, signed Twyning.
Northbounnd - Leave the M50 at Junction 1 and at the roundabout take the 2nd exit onto the A38, signed Tewkesbury.
At the next roundabout, take the 1st exit then turn right signed Twyning (Brockeridge Road).
North and Southbound - Drive through Twyning village and continue to the end of the road, past the village green. Park in the Fleet Inn car park, or on the road if not using the Inn 's facilities.
Return to M50 Junction 1
Turn right from the car park and drive back through the village.
Southbound traffic - turn right at the T-junction, signed S Wales/M50, to join the motorway slip road.
Northbound traffic – turn left at the T-junction, then at the roundabout take the 2nd exit signed Worcester, Malvern.
At the next roundabout, take the 1st exit to rejoin the M50.
Twyning - River Avon walk
Turn left out of the car park to walk down towards the river. Turn right at the river to join the waymarked river path, climbing over one stile at the start of the walk. Walk along the wide grassy track with the river to the left for as far as you wish, and then turn round to return to the car park.
This is the perfect hot weather walk over paw-cooling grass. Pleasure boats pass by from time to time, and the atmosphere is very Wind in the Willows.
Facilities
At the Fleet Inn. The Fleet Inn is an extremely dog and family friendly establishment. Well behaved dogs on leads are welcome in the bar area. There is also an enormous and attractive outside seating/dining area which overlooks the river. Good food is available here and the inn is open all day. Dog water is provided. There is a children's playground too. A dog poo bin is sited at the start of the walk.
