Wythenshawe Park

Map of M56 Junction 3 Walk

There are 250 acres of parkland here, so plenty of space to exercise the most demanding of dogs in this island of calm amidst the transport network.

Within the park boundaries are several woodlands of special scientific interest, and varied plant types.

Local dog walkers seem to favour the area in front of the Hall for off-lead walking under the gaze of Oliver Cromwell, who has a statue here. The paths are quite firm and suitable for all footwear whatever the weather.

If time permits, then take advantage of the information in the visitor centre to get a map of the park and go hiking!
