Walton Hall

The main attraction here for visitors is Walton Hall and gardens, and this is where there are fully accessible paths and facilities. The gardens are reached from the left hand side of the car park entrance.
Head towards the rear of the hall and follow the signed footpath to Appleton reservoir. The paths here are tarmac and suitable for all weathers, and wheelchairs.
There is plenty to do here for families, and it's clearly a favourite venue in the school holidays.
Another option here is not the Hall itself, but the tow path alongside the Bridgwater Canal . The canal adjoins the car park, and we turned left to walk along the cool and leafy path. This is considerably quieter than the hall and an ideal dog walk for those who prefer some peace and quiet.
Facilities
P&D gated car park, charges £1.50 Mon-Fri, £3.00 weekends and Bank Holidays. Open 0800 to dusk. Full disabled access (radar key), visitor centre, WC, café, gift shop, dog poo bins.
