Moses Gate Country Park

Map of M61 Junction 3 Walk

Moses Country Park is a much bigger space than at first appears, and there is plenty of choice for routes.

There are three signed routes which start from the visitor centre. To reach the start point, leave the car park and walk with the lake to the right. The path then opens out and the visitor centre is ahead.

From here, the Green route (20 mins), Yellow route (35 mins) and Red route (60 mins) start, and helpful walking leaflets can be picked up from the visitor centre.

If you have children with you, look out for the educational nature trails for kids and accompanying activity pack.

The main feature of the park is the lake, and this is encircled by a path too.

If the organised routes don't appeal, there is spacious ambling to be had to the left of the visitor centre.

The paths here are well maintained and predominantly hard surfaced.
