Getting There
Leave the M62 at Junction 8, Eastbound 1st exit, Westbound 5th exit, signed Burtonwood.
Enter Burtonwood. After a white house turn left onto Gorsey Lane, unsigned.
Pass a farm on the right hand side and continue to the sign for Clock Face Colliery country park. The entrance to the country park is on the left, unsigned.
Return to M62 Junction 8
Turn right out of the car park.
At the T-junction turn right, Clay Lane.
At the roundabout take the 2nd exit signed M62 and A574 Warrington and this returns to the motorway.
Clock Face Colliery Park
There are many access points to the park from the car park, and this is a fantastic piece of regeneration work where the feeling of peace and spaciousness is a delight to experience.
Popular with dog walkers and horse riders, there are many paths to wander along at will for a highly enjoyable walk. The paths are clear and wide, and there's no danger of getting lost. A real stressbuster of a park.
Facilities
Free car park, gated and with height restriction, open 0800 to dusk.
