Sankey Valley Park

Sankey Valley Park is part of the Mersey Forest and is a 7 mile linear park, successfully regenerated from disused railway land and waste ground. It now has a designated nature reserve, Stanley Bank, and the Sankey Canal runs through the park. There is an emphasis on family pursuits within the park, with a pirate ship and maze.
The canal path is ideal for dog walking and also forms part of the Trans-Pennine Trail.
Once the choice is made to go left, or right, the navigation couldn't be more simple.
Facilities

Free car park, picnic area. Dog poo bin at the canal.
