Lesmahagow town walk

Length of walk: 20-25 minutes
This is a short walk for dogs, on hard surfaced paths ideal for wheelchairs, buggies, and wet days when you don’t want to get your feet too wet.
From the car park, walk diagonally across the well-maintained grassy recreation area to cross a small footbridge. Turn left in the mini-meadow and walk as far as the sports facilities before turning round to return to the car park.
This seems to be a popular space with local dog walkers, and ideal for games with the dog – frizbees and chuckers were much in use on the day we were there.
Facilities

Free car parking. Dog poo bins in car park.
Small town shopping, with bank, grocer and Co-op minimarket.
Audrey’s Coffees café looked the liveliest place in town, with all-day breakfasts, snacks and light meals. There’s also a fish and chip takeaway open 1130-2300 Mon-Fri, and 1600-2200 at weekends.
