Motorway Walks book updates
M1
The walks for Junctions 6 and 8 have been withdrawn.
Jct 18: Telephone number for the Red Lion has changed to: 01788 822342
Jct 33: Repair work to the park is not complete, and so this walk is still unavailable. Projected re-opening is now late Summer 2010.
J35: This walk has been replaced on the website, with a garden centre walk at S62 7TF.
J39: Parking is free for the first hour, and then 50p per hour thereafter.

The postcode for Jct 3 is GU18 5RG

J10 Avoid the services until 2011. Basic facilities are in place and the walk is unaffected, but unless you’re towing a caravan and need the big car park this is one to miss until the rebuild is complete.
J11 The pub phone number has changed to 01295 710399
M42/4 The lake contains a dangerous (and large) foreign turtle. Please do not allow your children or the dog in the water! Turtles live for many years, and this one has escaped capture for some time already.
M62/36 The pub has new owners, and dogs are now outside only. Tel 01405 780792
M77/2 The car park is now Pay and Display

Page 131 South Mimms: There is now a Waitrose supermarket at South Mimms. (June 2009)
Page 9 The Old Fox: New owners have very recently taken over and the kitchen is being refurbished. The pub is open, but full food service isn't yet on stream. Dogs are no longer allowed inside, water bowls and biscuits are available. The new telephone number is not yet connected. (July 2009).
We can't get any information about The Fox, and the supplying brewery think it may no longer be trading as a pub. (May 2010)
Page 11: M1/8 The Swan: It's possible that this pub is looking for new owners again, as the phone is not being answered (May 2010).
