Getting there: Turn off the A496 at Llanfair. Follow the signs for Traeth (Beach). Drive past Llandanwg railway station and park in the car park at the end of the road.  Then take the footpath opposite the car park to reach the beach.

Rhosneigr is one of the best sandy beaches on Anglesey . The beach was beautiful, clean and calm. With plenty of room to relax and chill out. Water was clear and there is a great restaurant/bar just over the sand dunes (Oyster Catcher)

There are three beaches at Abersoch and the town beach (by the harbour) has dog restrictions in summer. Better for dogs is either Quarry beach to the NE of the town, or Main Beach to the south of the town.

Boat trips to the St Tudwal and Bardsey Islands operate in the summer.

Another fantastically huge sandy beach, accessed on a walkway through protected dunes.

The beach is divided roughly in half, with dogs allowed on one side all year round. Naturists also have a section of the beach - although on the August day we were there everyone was chastely muffled up in fleeces.
