One of the last unspoilt beaches on this stretch of the South East coastline, ideal if you'd like a quiet walk. Gentle sloping shingle at high tide and lovely sand at low tide. Great fun for the dogs. If you're not a driver but use public transport this beach is a welcome relief as it has two train stops in close vicinity. The beach is close to a Camper & Caravan Park so ideal if your stopping over in the area. The only negative is the smell at certain times of year from rotting vegetation from the near by fields but you soon get used to it. This venue is certain more than worth the visit especially if you have elderly or dogs that require gentler exercise for recouperation purposes. Although it does have links as a nudist beach it is rarely used.

Dog-friendly pub, with a warm atmosphere and excellent food. There is a short cycle route for those with bikes or a few walks to chose from with the dogs, with lovely views around the Village of Whichford.

Busy pub, good location easy to find. They do events. There was a wedding on when we were there. The staff were very nice and efficient and the pub was full of dogs of all shapes and sizes - all beautifully behaved of course :)

Typical small French town, with a pleasant dog-walk in chateau gardens (now a park). The nice thing about Nogent is that it's a big enough town to find everything you need for a quick break with refreshments and fuel, but small enough not to get lost in a one-way system.

Please note:  this vet clinic operates a strict appointments only system.  For out of hours / emergencies the telephone number is 0549280411.

If you're travelling to the UK and using the Pet Passport scheme, your pet will need worming and tick treatment between 24-48 hours before you travel.

This has to be done by a vet, and the Pet Passport will need to have the vet's official stamp and details of treatment given.  Without this, DEFRA approved ferries/trains/planes etc will not allow you to take your pet on board so it's important to get the timing, and the admin, completely right.

Please check the most recent regulations for pet travel at the official UK government website before you travel.

An interesting walk in a young woodland that has yet to fully develop. It's already popular with dog walkers and is ideal walking without stiles or sheep.
