A waymarked route through parts of the historic Malone House estate in the Lagan Valley Regional Park, through meadows and woodland on surfaced and unsurfaced paths with some steep hills.

Details

In Malone House: Barnett Room and Malone Room are open for teas and light lunches Monday - Saturday 9:00am - 5:00pm, Sunday 11:00am - 5:00pm. Only assistance dogs are allowed in.

Walk

From the Malone House car park, follow the path round the front of the house and alongside the security fence. Follow this path downhill and across to some beeches and wildflower meadows on your right. At the bottom of the hill turn right along the towpath.

Follow the towpath for a while follows the river. When you get to a kissing gate, pass through, and then turn right back into the woodland. At the next junction of paths keep right and continue. Take the next path that turns left uphill.

Climb up the hill and past the edge of the open meadows on your right. At the top of the hill turn right which leads you past a yew walk. After a short distance take the next path left, which will take you back to Malone House.
