Description
This is a riverside walk along the banks of the Thames with great views of the Chiltern Hills to enjoy. This walk is on the 180 mile long Thames Path, so you can just keep going for as far as you like through some delightful rural countryside

From Mill Meadows car park, walk down to the riverside and turn left. Walk up to the bridge (there will be a bit of road walking) and cross over. On the other side, turn left to reach the river again and continue ahead, following the signs for the Thames Path up to Hambleden Lock.
This walk couldn't be clearer. It is a good, straight riverside walk all the way up to Hambledon Lock. It's a good flat path for most of the way, although only part is tarmaced. There are also some slightly hilly parts and a kissing gate to negotiate. The countryside is picturesque, taking in a beautiful part of the Thames Valley as well as superb views of the Chiltern Hills. |

See directions from your postcode The car park is by the River and Rowing Museum in Henley on Thames and is between the river and the railway station. From the A4130 in Henley, follow the signs to Mill Meadows to reach the car park. |
