Take A39 west from Minehead approx 4 miles after small humpback bridge then double bend -at Red Post signpost on left sharp turn and follow road for west Luccombe and Horner, continue over another bridge and 500 yds on left is national trust car park. Toilets are situated next to ticket machine (50p for 2 hours) take path next to toilets , follow sign for Cream teasout of car park, turn left past riding stables and old watermill, follow road up slight incline andtake first right after mill ,at top the track goes up to the left, take the right path here behind the watermill follow this path looking down to the right you will see polo ponies and rare sheep breeds. The next two fields are Scout camp sites on the right. follow path for 1/3 mile until you reach wooden bridge,cross for short walk or from here you can walk on up the river (Horner water) on the left for another 1/3 mile and cross the bridge and return on the the other side, when you get back to Horner Green there is a chance for the dogs to rinse off in the river, before cream teas or snacks at one of the two cafes. Short walk 40 mins -Longer 1.5 Hours These woods have the most species of Bats in the UK
