If you can drag yourself away from the lodge, nearby Tamar Lakes offers coarse and trout fishing, sailing, wind surfing and canoeing, whilst the coastal resort of Bude, 9 miles, has fine sandy beaches and excellent surfing as well as an 18-hole golf course, gift shops and galleries. Breathtaking countryside and coastal walks can be found nearby and the wild beauty of Exmoor, Dartmoor and Bodmin Moor are just a short drive.
