Wandylaw Barns - Farne View

Description

"Wandylaw Barns are set in a peaceful location close to the Northumbrian Heritage Coast with some beautiful views across to Bamburgh Holy Island and the magnificent coastline"

In a small exclusive setting these holiday homes, built in 2009, offer contemporary interiors in traditional buildings with spacious surroundings that are tastefully elegant and sure to delight all age groups. Only approximately ½ mile from the A1, but completely out of sight from all the properties and just 6 miles from Belford, a charming little village with full amenities, and just 9 miles from the historic town of Alnwick, Northumberland’s ducal town, with cobbled character streets, weekly market, Playhouse theatre, enchanting water gardens, with a unique dining experience at the Treehouse, and the majestic medieval castle used in Harry Potter. Bamburgh, with its fine fortress towering over the village, is a short drive with a beautiful much photographed golden sandy beach making a spectacular setting for picnics and days by the sea. Nearby Seahouses, famous for its fine fish and chips and friendly seaside atmosphere, has a small working fishing harbour where boat trips can be taken to The Farne Islands to visit the seals and puffins, or Craster famous for smoked kippers with its beautiful walk to Dunstanburgh Castle. The cross border battles resulted in this region having more castles than any other in England, most open all year round. No trip to Northumberland is complete without first checking the tides to cross over the causeway to Lindisfarne known as Holy Island, a true island of calm where St Aidan established England’s first Christian community. Ideally located to explore the whole county peppered with small friendly villages, vast golden unspoilt beaches where visitors can breathe in the salty air and feel the sand beneath their toes and miles of unspoilt coastline in this Area of Outstanding Natural Beauty. There are magnificent golf courses, hills and valleys allowing for relaxing strolls amongst the panoramic countryside. Walkers and cyclists will be spoilt for choice in this lovely countryside close to the coast with a country feel. This small exclusive development will delight even the most discerning visitor and is an ideal base, perfectly located to tour this friendly unspoilt county, reputedly the ‘friendliest county in England’. Shops and pub 3 miles.
