DescriptionThese two simple south-facing holiday cottages enjoy a fine range of facilities, including a games barn, a children’s play area with swings and a hard tennis court (set slightly apart from the cottages). Careful conversions of historic buildings belonging to Stainsborough Hall, they are two of four cottages set in 15-acre grounds, each with its own terrace overlooking a walled garden and duck pond with rolling fields beyond. Dove Dale is 6 miles away, whilst Alton Towers is about 15 miles. Chatsworth House and Haddon Hall are within easy reach. The wildlife and nature conservation area of Carsington Water, with the Visitor Centre 3 miles, offering shops and restaurant, as well as cycle hire, windsurfing facilities, trout fishing and a well-equipped children’s playground.
