Parsonage Farm Holiday Cottages - Robins Nest

Description

Situated in a very rural location, on the southern edge of the Cotswolds and only 3 miles from the small market town of Wootton Bassett, is where Parsonage Farm is found. For many years, this was a dairy farm with rolling green meadows, and now has had a complete change of direction. The 19th-century red brick barns have been beautifully converted into self-catering holiday cottages. With careful use of the spaces, natural light and creative decoration, each barn is very individual and modern. Use of both geothermal and electric underfloor heating and the use of original timbers and bespoke green oak structures brings a wonderful warmth to the buildings. Each cottage has a furnished patio area with barbecue, so visitors can drink in the far-reaching countryside, including the White Horse at Broad Town.
The holiday properties lie close to the Ridgeway footpath trail and the Wiltshire Cycle Way. Nearby are Avebury Stone Circle, Bath, Stonehenge, Lacock village, Marlborough (jazz festival), Castle Coombe, Cirencester, Longleat and Malmsbury (abbey and gardens).
Several excellent championship golf courses are nearby, as are extensive fishing opportunities, lovely pubs and top restaurants. For the active, lovely walks can be taken around the farm. Shops 2 miles, two pubs 1 mile.
