Find the perfect dog walk on your journey - Driving with Dogs

Off the ferry dog walk near Dover, Kent

Premium

Description

Several walks to choose from here - all good for dogs - and a really interesting place to visit as well.  This fabulous park is an 'extra' piece of Kent, created from the earth that was dug out to make the channel tunnel. There's a lot of info about the project at the visitor centre, manned by a very enthusiastic ranger, not just Chunneliana but also links connecting Shakespeare's King Lear, Napoleon and an increasing population of pipits.

Dogs need to be on leads for their own safety, there is a thriving colony of adders who don't appreciate wake up calls from wet, inquisitive noses!  Extending leads are fine, and the snakes won't attack unless really provoked and frightened.
