Dog walk

Cross the main road in front of the Mason's Arms and take the footpath ahead of you. This is usually well-trodden and will take you across fields, past Ducton Coppice and to the village of Martley.

If you walk from the pub to the coppice, that will be around 20 minutes there and back. To Martley and back will take about 40 minutes.

I did this on a hot,dry day and the ground was firm and easy to walk on. On a wet day the section past the coppice to Martley looks like it could be really muddy.
