Riverside pub overlooking the River Avon. The small town of Bidford has all sorts of historic connections, from ghostly Roman soldiers crossing the river, to Shakespeare sleeping off a monumental hangover under a tree.  Today it's a useful place to break a journey with a lovely walk by the river on the other side of the bridge.
