Not to be missed Dunnotter castle and cliff top walk

If you are passing Stonehaven you should not miss a visit to Dunnotter castle and the cliff top path to the war memorial. The castle is open all year round and dogs are allowed in on a lead. From the castle there is an excellent cliff top path along to the war memorial with fantastic coastal views. There is a coffee van at the castle car park which also sell ice cream. This is a very popular world tourist attraction and you will meet many people from all around the world also visiting. If you walk to the war memorial and have time you should go that bit further and visit Stonehaven harbour. There are two excellent pubs (The Marine & The Ship) with a great selection of craft beers, whisky and good food. Both are dog friendly. There is also another ice cream and coffee shop next to them plus the Stonehaven Tolbooth museum.
