Interesting beach - all along the beach are the concrete pillboxes used during the war. The beach stretches from Findhorn right through to Burghead. The sandy beach is sheltered by sand dunes and scots pine trees with views across the Moray Firth.
This site gives info and photos of the pillboxes, used for training exercises for the D-Day landings by the Americans and Canadian. http://tinyurl.com/d2z7gbk
