Full Walk Details

There are many walk routes up and around the beacon, and this starting point is the one that gives you maximum view with minimum steep climbing! It's also easy to see where you're going from here.  Owned by the National Trust, there are a number of trails and walk routes across the beacon and Ashridge Estate. Be sure to look up, and admire the wheeling Red Kites above.  Expect stock to be grazing  from time to time.

If you're staying in the area for any length of time, the tourist information office provides a selection of well planned long walks leaflets which are worth investigating.
