A stunning circular walk along a babbling river, criss-crossing it several times before arriving at an impressive waterfall. Return via a woodland trail.
This walk is right on the main A9 in Golspie but apparently rarely visited. If heading north on the A9, the car park is signed after the main part of the village down a short track on the left, just after the Sutherland Arms and before the bridge over the burn.
Full Walk Details
There is a map in the car park (see photo), showing the route of the walk, which is about 2 miles long. Half way up, it's worth taking the very short detour, a right fork in the path after the 5th footbridge, and going to the end of the boardwalk to peer around the corner...
Return to the main path and continue the walk, past (and possibly around) the skating pond, then back to the car park.
The walk has some steep parts, but the path is well maintained.
