Walk
Length of walk: 40-50 minutes, circular walk
Follow a grassy path straight up the slope and bear slightly left, still going upwards until meeting a fence that marks the upper limit of the wood. Turn right at this point and follow the path parallel to the hedge as far as possible. Some sheds and allotments can be seen from the corner.
Then head down the slope, bearing slightly right at a parting of the paths. This diagonal path will return to the starting point on an open grassy track.
As this woodland is enclosed and without livestock, it’s an ideal free space for dogs to hurtle around safely.
The paths can get sodden after rain, avoid!
