Find the perfect dog walk on your journey - Driving with Dogs

Edited: 6th March 2020

Easington dog-friendly beach, County Durham

A shingle and sand beach that's a good leg-stretching spot off the A19. Look out for coastal erosion, several roads around here stop abruptly as the cliffs below have collapsed.

This isn't particularly a tourist beach, and there are no facilities there apart from the car park. Shops and fuel in Easington. Just Three Words: museum.deck.hours

The Durham coast path runs across the top of the beach and once you're over the railway line dogs can be safely off-lead.
