A quiet village beside Morecambe Bay and within sight of the hills of the Lake District, there's plenty to explore here. The view from the ruined chapel at the top of the cliffs are outstanding and there are beaches and coastal walks to enjoy as well.
Facilities in Heysham
This is a village where the walker (and dog) are spoilt for choice. It's possible to remain in the area around St Patrick's Chapel and wander around the paths and woods at the top of the cliffs. Maybe a walk down to the dog friendly beach is the best thing for four-legged friends (careful of the tides, Morecambe Bay can be dangerous so it's best to stay near the top of the beach). There's also the coastal path leading back to Morecambe for anyone wanting a longer walk.
