Premium

Description

This walks starts at one of the highest points in Bedfordshire, within the Chilterns' Area of Outstanding Natural Beauty. There are stunning views over the county and the Sharpenhoe Clappers. The long distance John Bunyan Trail passes through the park – and there's enough free running space to tire a pack of Afghan Hounds.

Stop with a view

Lovely views from the picnic bench although there is only one. Quite a low height restriction 6’ 6” which meant that we had to park on the grass verge outside as we had a roof box on the car. Good walking with the dog although we only let ours off near the picnic bench while we had our lunch as the sheep were in the next field where the walks begin. Not my most favourite stop but would stop here again if needed a stop in that area.

Great walk with beautiful views - we had to be careful of the sheep in a couple of fields but otherwise lots of space for the dog to run. There are signs for a number of different walks: we followed one and missed a sign so ended up following our noses, that was fine and we got safely back to the car park having missed the worst of the down and up hill.
