M62 Junction 7 dog walk near Widnes, Cheshire

Premium

Description

There's a choice of three short dog walks on well-signed footpaths here - ideal for a poochie pitstop.   This is part of the Mersey Forest and now a nature reserve. In the past there was quarrying and the steep sides of the disused quarry are now used by climbers to practise on. And at the top of the hill you'll find Victorian reservoirs, and Leighton Observatory.  On a clear day you might be able to pick out the top of Snowdon in North Wales.
