Sherwood Pines Forest Park dog walk, Nottinghamshire
Description
Robin Hood might lift an eyebrow or two at this largely coniferous plantation being called 'Sherwood Forest' - but the dog certainly won't mind. And it's easy walking on clear paths, so ideal for family walkies.
Like all the different bits of 'Sherwood Forest' operated by the Forestry Commission, sections can be off-limits at times when forestry work is going on or events taking place.
Details
This is well organised for recreation - with Go Ape, cycling routes and gear. WCs, cafe and info centre. All day parking charge
Remember to 'stick and flick' dog poo in the forest - it'll compost down very quickly. Please don't leave plastic poo bags in the forest, there isn't a Poo Bag Fairy to pick them up! See local signage for an illustration of how to stick and flick.
