Robin Hood might lift an eyebrow or two at this largely coniferous plantation being called 'Sherwood Forest' - but the dog certainly won't mind. And it's easy walking on clear paths, so ideal for family walkies.   Like all the different bits of 'Sherwood Forest' operated by the Forestry Commission, sections can be off-limits at times when forestry work is going on or events taking place.
