Ainsdale Beach nr Southport. Finns favourite, Lancashire
This beach is a god send for reactive dogs and sight hounds with NO recall 😊 Further along from Formby Beach towards Southport along the Coastal Rd turn left onto Shore Rd.

An interesting cliff top walk with the chance to ride into town on a fun tourist railway. We had the puppy safely on lead as he's still into chasing seagulls.
Within seconds of Jem leaping out for a sniff at the sea and a bounce on the beach, the rain deluged. The beach is all shingle and we couldn't really see anything of the coast path!
Awesome big skies, and an almost end-of-the-world feel to this beach walk with marshes behind. Good pub, and also a cafe with perfect fish and chips.
This dog-friendly historic village has something to please everyone, kids, the dog and great-granny.
Dog-friendly hotel with marvellous views and outside waterside terrace. Just sit by the water and watch the yachts ahead and the ever-changing clouds over the hills on the mainland.
Wrap up warm for the dog walk and often a biting wind. After that enjoy the laid-back and relaxed country pub. Very handy for the nearby caravan park.
Dogs are welcome in this well-known historic village, and a visit is a lovely way to spend a day. Combine the quaint shops and tea-rooms with a walk on the coast path for total doggie delight.
We were here on quite a stormy day and the dog-friendly hotel was a welcome refuge! Dogs are welcome to stay in the hotel too. The beach is dog-friendly and ideal for a quick walk.
Jem totally loved his trip here.
A traditional Welsh inn with enthusiastic owners adding a lot of TLC and commitment. Nice friendly welcome here for dogs and people.
Wonderful spot for dogs, families, and anyone with a yearning for sea air and impeccably cooked sea food (other options available).
