Super-easy dog walk on a former rail line, County Durham
Very good dog walk on a leisure path that's shady and perfect for dogs. It was once a rail line serving local coal mines. It's just a minute away from the A19 and easy to find.

Great pub with rooms situated at Porlock Weir on the South West Coast Path. Great place to rest weary feet and paws and be made very welcome. Good dinner and breakfast and all made very welcome.
Country pub with a strong emphasis on stylish dining. Rosettes have been awarded, and they're also dog-friendly.
Pretty little pub by a stream, and a dog walk from the door. It's not far from Hexham and well worth a visit.
Riverside dog-friendly pub within easy reach of the A69. The dog walk is a delight in dry weather and our pup loves a river swim here.
A riverside dog walk from an 18th century coaching inn with a doggie swimming spot and woodland.
Dog-friendly country inn with a choice of excellent dog walks nearby. Quite close to the popular tourist village of Alnwick, and very easy to find from the A1.
A friendly and welcoming country-style inn on the outskirts of the town, and within easy reach of a dog walk.
A very safe walk for dogs that starts straight from the car park, and in the village you'll find two dog-friendly pubs. Our pup loved this walk and found happy spaniels to chase around with.
We discovered this dog-friendly inn with B&B completely by chance. We were really looking for the farm that makes the tasty local cheese.
Just the place for some spiritual refreshment, an excellent farm shop and a stroll around the ancient village is a delight. Dogs are generally welcomed, although not in the churches.
A gentle walk with the dog in the forest, and then refreshments in a genuinely friendly and attentive community pub gives perhaps more of a taste of Norfolk than the busier (and more expensive)...
