A warm and welcoming Cotswold pub with dogs in the bar, a roaring fire in cold weather and a helpful and friendly team behind the bar.
A small village with plenty of dog walks and a traditional friendly pub where dogs get a good welcome.
A big-hearted, clean and tidy pub where familes, dogs and summer campers all get a good welcome.
Very dog-friendly pub, with biscuits on arrival for hungry hounds. Well placed for a lunch stop if you're walking in the area. The walk takes in the site of the Battle of Edgehill.
Awesome big skies, and an almost end-of-the-world feel to this beach walk with marshes behind. Good pub, and also a cafe with perfect fish and chips.
The village sits squarely on the river Tees, and the short walk here features the site of an old Roman bridge. Apparently the Romans lived here for just short of 500 years.
Not far from Yeovil and the A37 but miles away in atmosphere. It's a tad foodie, but less pretentious than some and the 15th century building is a delight.
A great place for a dog walk, whether you're making a doggiestop on your journey or just looking for somewhere new to walk.

Dog-friendly hotel with marvellous views and outside waterside terrace. Just sit by the water and watch the yachts ahead and the ever-changing clouds over the hills on the mainland.
Within seconds of Jem leaping out for a sniff at the sea and a bounce on the beach, the rain deluged. The beach is all shingle and we couldn't really see anything of the coast path!
