Beautiful 18th century pub where children and dogs are welcome. Large garden. If you're travelling on the M2 or the M20, it's easy to take a short woodland walk before or after coming here.

Seriously old and dog-friendly pub, with rustic charm and friendly atmosphere. It's in the Vale of Evesham, so you'll find good locally-sourced food.
Great place for a shady leg-stretch for drivers and dogs. There's a little stream for dogs to have a lap of sparkling Welsh water and a paddle too.
It would be easy to miss this 18th century coaching inn as it's only when you get inside that the immense charm of the building shines through.
Lovely for a break from the driving, and some very tasty Italian cooking that will please all the family. And a dog walk too.
A nineteenth century cotton will may not seem to be the obvious place to walk the dog, but amongst these not-so satanic mills of industrial Manchester there's plenty of green too.
A brisk trot up to the Ridgeway with the dog, and then refreshments in a 17th century dog-friendly inn.
A popular dog walking wood, with a surprising variety of trees. Don't be put off by the closeness of the motorway, you're not really aware of it once over the bridge.
Dog access to the small rocky beach is allowed all year round.
As soon as you walk around the first corner in the lane from the car park, the noise and fumes of the traffic drop away, and the sense of space and quiet here is totally amazing.
A lovely village pub where everyone is warmly welcomed including the dog. A great place to break your journey and enjoy an easy-going walk.
Varied parkland, with woods, open space and some very pretty ponds. We were charmed by the Common and it's an excellent spot for a gentle dog walk.
