One mile south of the centre of Whaley Bridge on the west bank of the River Goyt, near Taxal. Off the A5004 Long Hill Road.
This is a small but beautiful riverside park and has the remains of a Norman motte and bailey castle, although there's not much left to see. Plenty of dog walks here and it's an ideal place to relax.
Come here for a bracing walk with the dog and some outstanding food afterwards. Run by a local chef/patron this is something out of the ordinary.
Brilliant beach for dog walking. Lots of surfers, kites and watch out for Blokarts! Great place to enjoy the Atlantic coast
This 'aire de repose' on the westbound side of the A31 is one of the best rest-stops for dogs and people, on a section of motorway that is otherwise pretty unenticing.

Excellent although pebble beach, goes on for miles, dogs are more than welcome all year, my 2 loved it for their first seaside experience.
Beautiful walk along the River Severn with the steam railway in the background.
A forest dog walk towards a set of intriguing pre-historic carvings on rocks, which can really set the imagination going.
Dog walking places in Ireland Fairly short and often bracing walk with the dog above Dublin - on a fine day there are big views, and plenty to see.
